|A GREAT time to write a blog about how long your family business has been providing insurance protection to the community is right after the Norther Nevada Business View formally announced that Heuer Insurance Agency is the 9th oldest business in the Reno/Sparks area still in business today! Isn’t that something? I’ll bet when our founder Clarence Heuer woke up one morning in 1929 knowing it was his first day of offering insurance through Heuer Insurance and Real Estate, he was full of excitement and scared to death… What he didn’t know was The Great Depression would hit our Nation that year. It’s hard to imagine the steps he must have taken to survive in that time in history, but he did. And to this day, so do we by caring about our clients, our community and our staff, now and for many years to come.|
Besides the excitement of being named the 9th oldest running business, we are overjoyed to announce TODAY is the 90th Anniversary of our agency. This is still a family owned and operated local business employing local insurance professionals and providing a large list of very loyal clients excellent insurance coverage through some of the best carriers our industry has to offer.
With any milestone comes an opportunity to tell a story. This last month we were the cover story of the local magazine Red Hawk Living. This really is an exciting time for Heuer Insurance! Through all this, we never, ever forget we couldn’t have made it thru a single year without YOU, our loyal clients, friends and family! So, thank you one and all.
|Throughout the upcoming year we will be doing what we can to spread our message. We have engaged the services of MN|G PR to help us do this. They are a locally owned PR firm that does great work and we are excited to work with Meagan and her team.|
The first step was to refresh our logo. Safeco Insurance Company graciously offered their design team to collaborate with us on a complete re-brand. Our goal was to “modernize” our logo while maintaining the integrity of the branding we have used since the early 1970s. See below. We really like it and hope you do to!
The ultimate goal this year is to give back to the community that has given so much to us. We will be making a big push to raise money for the Eddy House. The Eddy House is a great local Not-For-Profit that focuses on our youth. Their mission is this: The Eddy House works with homeless and at-risk youth to develop life and job skills necessary for sustainable independence. We truly feel as a community we need to rally together to support the next generation. We hope you are on board to help us with this endeavor.
There is much more to come as we celebrate all year long. Be on the lookout for a revamped referral program, exciting client giveaways and more.
From the entire Heuer Team – THANK YOU!!!
